Our Recovery Process
Evaluation
We identify the recorder's file system and the nature of the loss (deletion, overwrite, power event, format) and check whether the drive is physically healthy.
Diagnosis
The surveillance drive is assessed for mechanical or logical faults; a failing drive is stabilised and imaged before any footage work.
Recovery attempt
Working from an image, we reconstruct the proprietary DVR/NVR file system and carve the video streams, targeting the required date/time range where possible — leaving the original drive unaltered.
Verification
Recovered footage is checked for playability and, where possible, matched to the requested time window.
Secure return
Recovered video is provided on suitable media in a playable form, and the recorder and drive are handled confidentially throughout.

Common Surveillance Data Loss Issues
- Specific timeframes missing from playback

- Hard drive error beeping from DVR
- Unable to export footage to USB
What To Do First — And What To Avoid
Stop recording immediately if footage is missing — continued recording can overwrite the video you need.
Do not let the recorder overwrite older footage; power it down if the needed clips are at risk.
Do not reformat or "initialise" the disk through the recorder menu.
If the drive is clicking, do not keep it powered inside the recorder.
Do not run chkdsk/format on a surveillance disk connected to a PC. Note the date/time range needed and submit a request.
